God’s Creation

Psalm 139:14-17

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me are your thoughts God?

The psalmist is rejoicing having realized that God formed us while we were still in our mothers’ wombs. That there were no surprises, God himself saw us even before we were formed and had a life-long plan for each of us even before we were born. Lastly, he says God’s thought of us are dear, important, and of great value.

Clearly God’s Word tells us there is a divine appointed purpose for each of us. We need to praise Him for creating us as we are, seek his plan for our lives and apply the appropriate value, importance, and hold dear his thoughts of us. We can have total confidence that He knows what is best for us.

Thank you Lord for creating me and establishing your divine purpose in me. Father I commit myself to be totally yours and submit to your will for my life. Thank you for sending the Holy Spirit to help me through the process of growing up to be the person you have designed me to be even before I was born; in Jesus name, Amen.
