“But as for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good.”
Joseph was able to make this statement to his contriving brothers after learning about the schemes they put in place designed to harm him and to steal the blessings designed for him and learning the valuable lesson that God uses even negative experiences to shape the lives of people who love Him.
We have all experienced pain, tragedy, mistakes and challenges that were done to us by a family member, friend or co-worker. Things that they intended to hurt us hinder our blessings, or simply cause unnecessary conflict in our lives. What this Word says is that if we allow God to have His way and allow the Holy Spirit to guide us through these things can be used by God to make something beautiful out of the circumstances.
Only God has the power to take the evil intentions of others and change the outcome into something good. I Peter 4:12 says: Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. Remember because you identify with Christ, stuff is going to happen.
Father, it is healing to know that my Heavenly Father knows the hurts and pain I have endured. And, what’s coming my way. Thank you for changing those evil things intended to hurt or harm me into something good. You are beautiful therefore everything you touch is beautiful. I praise and honor you for your goodness.
In the name of Jesus. Amen
